Rachel Barton BA (Hons)
MRCSLT, MASLTIP, Reg HCPC
Speech and Language Therapist
"Supervision is the formal arrangement that enables an SLT or assistant practitioner to discuss their work regularly with someone who is experienced and qualified. It's an essential component of a good quality speech and language therapy service that is able to respond to service users, identify and manage risk."
RCSLT 2017

My Approach:
I provide a safe and confidential space for you to reflect on your clinical practice. You may wish to talk through a specific case or issue, ideas for service development or recent research/training and its application to your practice.
Self-reflection is at the heart of developing clinical expertise. My skills as a supervisor do not lie in providing all the answers but in asking the questions that will facilitate your own problem-solving.
I provide one to one, paired or group supervision. We can meet in person or we can use Zoom to meet online.

I ensure that I receive regular supervision myself in relation to clinical practice and supervision practice, which is in line with RCSLT and HCPC guidelines.
I also offer supervision for supervisors and am listed on the Intandem Supervisor Register.
